PROJECT CANCELLED
NO PLANS FOR ANY FUTURE VERSION

The last bit of news that I had to offer wasn't any better than what you're about to hear now. I have had to cancel the project now altogether. My harddrive has been completely erased by a virus not more than a week ago, I have lost the source code for the program, and everything else I made in the past year or so. I would really like to understand what virus programmers get out of creating and spreading their viruses. What makes them tick ? I think they're all sick. They can't think of anything creative to do with their abilities, so they create something ugly and destructive. I hate them all. Anyways, I have no plans of starting to rewrite the program altogether, which is just about the only possible way I could continue the development of the program. I will leave release 2 here for you to download, but you do not need to come back to this page, if you're looking for release 3. It is now officially cancelled. Thanks to the programmer of the FORM-virus.

Yep, Reinforcer now has it's own little space on the web. As you can see from the screenshot above, release 3 is now allmost ready! For now you'll have to settle for release 2 though, and as you may know, it doesn't feature any real interface - just a quick setup, which will replace all the drum sounds in ReBirth-338 with new, cool ones. A complete 909 kit and neat percussion replacements. Yay!

A bit about release 3: it's going to be EASY. All you do is start the program, choose a directory, and you're ready to start building your own patches. Just drag files from the filebox on the right, and drop them onto one of the preset boxes. The LEDs on each preset box work like this: if the RED LED is on, you have allready replaced this preset - if the GREEN LED is on, the sample you have highlighted in the filebox is suitable. You can use both PCM WAVE files (.WAV), AIFF (.AIF) and RAW samples. They must allways be 44.1 kHz signed 16-bit mono files. The tabs in the top left-hand corner display information about presetboxes (including useful hints), about sound files you select, and you can enter information about your patch here (patch-name, author, details). Dragging the "RE"-box to a presetbox, restores the original sound from ReBirth. From the menu you can load and save your patches, so you can share them with other people, or even keep them to yourself! (but be nice, share with us! hehe...) The "Hints"-toggle in the top right-hand corner enables those little yellow strips of helping hints to pop up all around. There will be a button (not on the screenshot yet) which launches ReBirth with your patch installed. It's that easy!

Here, download release 2 (about 930 Kb)

Note that release 2 doesn't work with version 1.0, you need to visit Propellerhead Software for your free upgrade to version 1.5!
